NURC - National Underwater Robotics Challenge

NURC (National Underwater Robotics Challenge) is an annual robotics competition held in Chandler, Arizona. The competition borrows many elements such as the tech report and sales presentation from MATE. The main differences are that there is a single 30-minute mission instead of two 15-minute ones and the themes are less serious. Also, the missions take place in an outdoor pool at night to simulate the darkness of deep ocean. More information can be found on their website: http://www.h2orobots.org/

Unfortunately, the competition is on indefinite hold due to budget concerns and the release of the Underwater Dreams film by the team that puts on the competition.
